Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 6, 2026
Motardia ('we', 'us', 'the app') is a community application for motorcycle and quad/ATV riders. It lets you organize and join group rides, buy and sell gear on the marketplace, message other riders, share ride content, and manage a rider profile. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have. By using Motardia you agree to this policy. For any privacy question, email us at dyayoub@gmail.com.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Motardia. You can reach us at dyayoub@gmail.com for any question or request about your personal data.
2. Data we collect
We only collect the data needed to run the app and the features you use. Data you provide: • Account information: name / username, email address, and password (stored only in hashed form). • Google account data (if you sign in with Google): name, email and profile picture from Google Sign-In. We never receive your Google password. • Profile information: bio, city/country, motorcycle or quad details, and profile photo. • Content you create: marketplace listings (text, price, condition, photos), ride details, social-feed posts (photos/videos, comments, reactions), and reviews/ratings. • Messages: the content of private and group chat messages you send. Data collected automatically: • Approximate and precise location, used to show rides on the map, sort by distance, and attach a location to rides and listings — only while you use these features and with your device permission. • Photos and media you choose to upload. • A device push token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) to deliver notifications. • Basic technical data needed for the app to communicate securely with our servers. We do not collect payment or financial information in the app.
3. Why we use your data
• Create and secure your account and authenticate you (including Google Sign-In). • Provide core features: rides, map, marketplace, chat, social feed, profiles, reviews. • Send notifications you have enabled. • Display location-based content. • Maintain safety, prevent abuse, and enforce our terms. • Respond to your support requests.
4. Legal bases (where GDPR applies)
We process your data based on performance of a contract (providing the app), your consent (e.g. location and push notifications, which you can withdraw via device settings), and our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, improving the service).
5. Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with: • Other users, as inherent to the app: your profile, listings, ride details, posts, reviews, and the messages you send are visible to the users you interact with. • Service providers operating the app on our behalf: Microsoft Azure (hosting), Google (Sign-In), and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications). • Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety and security.
6. Data retention
We keep your personal data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain information to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to data portability. You can: • Edit your profile data in the app (Settings → Edit profile). • Delete your account and associated data in the app (Settings → Delete account). • Withdraw permissions (location, notifications) anytime in your device settings. • Contact us at dyayoub@gmail.com to exercise any right or file a complaint. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and hashed password storage. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
9. Children
Motardia is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us at dyayoub@gmail.com and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
Your data may be processed on servers located in regions where our providers (e.g. Microsoft Azure) operate. Where required, appropriate safeguards are applied.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will revise the 'Last updated' date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
